Rules · Checkers
German draughts on the dark squares — capture, chain your jumps, and crown your kings.
On your turn slide one piece one square diagonally forward onto an empty dark square. Only the 32 dark squares are ever used.
If a jump is available you must take it. Men capture forward only: leap over an adjacent enemy piece onto the empty square diagonally beyond — never backward. Keep jumping while the same piece can capture again. Captured pieces stay on the board and block you until your move is finished, and they only come off once it is.
Reach the far row and your piece becomes a king. A king glides any distance along a clear diagonal in all four directions, and jumps an opponent piece from any distance — but it must always land on the square directly behind the piece it captures.
Winning the game
A little strategy
Each move has a 60 second timer — if it runs out, the game is forfeited.
